Welcome to the Cool New Jersey Website!
Cool New Jersey is a collaborative effort of the New Jersey Chapter of the Sierra Club and faculty and students at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. This site is intended to facilitate coordination, education, and empowerment of local efforts to address climate change throughout the Garden State. If you would like to get involved in some of these local efforts, or if you'd like to begin your own citizens group to build a greener community, this site can help.
A guide to green policies and practices for local communities is available on the Home page. A printable PDF version of the Cool New Jersey Handbook can be downloaded or this guide can be viewed on-line.
The Discussion Forum allows coordination and education among activists across the state. And, a Question Forum allows guests to post question related to climate change or policies and practices to address climate change. Answers will be posted within a few days by researchers at Stockton College.
Clicking on the Join button will allow you to search for other activists or Cool Cities groups near you, or to post your own information and become a local coordinator.
