Emerging Leaders, Emerging Solutions will highlight emerging strategies, leaders and ideas in response
to global warming and climate change. The conference will explore
solutions from a variety of sectors, including non-profit, business,
policy, and community-based leaders. Speakers and panelists
will share their model efforts, and participants will discuss
ways to combine efforts to collectively address greenhouse gas
emissions. Particular attention will be paid to issues such
as: the appropriate balance of market-based and regulatory approaches
to climate policy, issues of equity and justice in the formulation
of climate policies, and the role of a wide range of solutions
and policies from energy consumption and emissions reductions
to alternative energy development, transportation and land use
planning.
