Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA)

The ACUA is leading the way toward a more sustainable South Jersey. The Atlantic City Wind Farm Project is the most visible and productive wind energy project in the state.
Diesel vehicles at the ACUA run on a 20% biodiesel blend. Geothermal Heating & Cooling Systems are used at the facility. The ACUA has recently purchased fuel efficient hybrid vehicles. A landfill Gas to Electricity Project recaptures waste gas to be used as fuel. The facility's solar array is one of the largest in the state. And the ACUA is also pursuing LEED certification for some of its buildings.
